She so kindly agreed to let me interview her and I've sliced together some key take aways below. I have mad respect for talented people that make time to talk to current students. I am always on the look out for amazing designers, but it can be rare to find an amazing designer who is also humble & kind. I'm telling you, Lacy is one to look up!
Q. If you could give one piece of advice to new designers about to enter the design world, what would it be?
A. Work hard, have fun with it, and stay curious. Look for inspiration everywhere you go and in everyone you speak with. Let design influence every part of your life and the decisions you make. Learn to see connections in everything
Q. What is a goal that you hope to achieve in the next 10-15 years?
A. I hope to greatly improve my skills as a designer and use design for the betterment of society. I also hope to have another international experience, working abroad to expand my views and perspectives.
Q. If you could choose one thing for the world to remember about you as a designer/person what would it be? & Why?
A. I think simplicity, creativity, curiosity, and critical thinking are the most important things in life. I am always willing to try new things and love learning from people.
