#1 BENGALS GO TO THE SUPER BOWL // 02.13.22 // After we moved back to Cincinnati at the end of last year, we spent the first few months of 2022 re-exploring our Cincinnati favorites and discovering new additions. One of the most exciting Cincinnati events was when the Bengals went to the Super Bowl! We had so much fun cheering them on with friends at our place.
#2 THEO PASSED AWAY // 02.23.22 // We had to say goodbye to our beloved bunny, Theodore. Theo had brought us SO much joy over the last 8 years, and it was incredibly hard to let him go… but at the rich age of 12 he had had a very loved and spoiled life. We will forever carry him with us in our hearts.
#3 FOUND OUT I WAS PREGNANT! // 03.16.22 // The biggest news of 2022 was finding out I was pregnant! I can’t even begin to describe the pounding joy, and wash of relief I felt when first seeing those two pink lines. Telling Danny was especially wonderful. All of a sudden we had a countdown to November 27th, our baby’s due date.
#4 MAMMOTH CAVES NATIONAL PARK // 03.26.22 // Luckily I wasn’t yet experiencing many pregnancy symptoms because shortly after we had a road trip planned down to Mammoth Caves National Park with my cousins. I was able to keep the news under wraps, and we enjoyed stunning hikes and exploring incredible caves.
#5 WE BOUGHT A HOUSE // 05.12.22 // We spent the first half of the year shopping for a house. And in May, we finally snagged one that we completely LOVE! Owning our first home together, right as we found out we were expecting, was truly a lifelong dream come true. Since we knew we had a little one on the way, we were incredibly busy with home projects every moment we could. Including preparing the nursery!
#6 I TURNED 30! // 07.22.22 // I’m not gonna lie, it was a bit sad saying goodbye to my 20s. But it made it a bit easier to know I REALLY lived life to the fullest during those 10 years. An incredible chapter closes, but I know my adventurous spirit isn’t going anywhere, so I’m excited to see what this next decade brings!
#7 CHEERS TO 1 YEAR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY // 08.14.22 // Danny & I celebrated 1 year of being married this year! And what a crazy wonderful year it’s been. We nested into a new downtown apartment, then bought a house, and then found out we were pregnant!
#8 BABYMOON // 08.22.22 // We had such a lovely time enjoying one last getaway just the two of us before our baby girl arrived. We returned to an amazing bed and breakfast that we had gone to years prior for an anniversary. Cozy cabin, foot rubs, southern food, and discussing baby names.
#9 SHOWERED WITH LOVE // 09.21.22 // I celebrated my 1 year work anniversary as a Design Director at Spicefire this year. I love my co-workers, and they really went above and beyond to shower my baby girl and I with love with the most amazing Baby ShowHER. My Mom also threw us a baby shower, and wow did we feel spoiled.
#10 MATERNITY PHOTOS // 10.16.22 // I had these stunning maternity photos taken to capture the beginning of motherhood. Katie at Bird + Rose Photography captured these at the Krohn Conservatory. They are so beautiful, I’m so glad to have these to look back on for many years to come.
#11 FINISHED THE NURSERY // 11.01.22 // Creating a nursery for my baby was a longtime dream come true. This was quite the home project. Wallpaper had to be taken down, textured walls were removed, and the walls and fireplace were painted.
#12 OUR DAUGHTER WAS BORN! // 12.2022 // Without a doubt the biggest highlight of not only my year, but my life. Becoming this sweet girl’s mama has been so magical.
